Sisal Screen (YMJD)
Diligent concentration and a talent for uniformity are imperative for the Sisal Screen to come to life because the construction requires that pandan leaves are twisted into rope and affixed to a solid oak frame in a swirl pattern. The way the circlets are organically placed enhances the textural feel of this neutral accent. The screen is finished on both sides and the hinges are dual action so they can move in both directions. The scalloped top is a design detail that will bring artfulness to the room in which it is placed. This earthy design, named for the port city in the Yucatan, is in the Marjorie Skouras Collection.
